Matrikon Operational Insight

Matrikon Operational Insight is for plant personnel who need fast, reliable, easy access to real-time plant data. Matrikon Operational Insight is a thin-client, out-of-the box software solution that provides integration, information (Key Performance Indicators) and Visualization of Data from existing, vendor-independent IT/data system investments.

Unlike vendor dependent, thick-client or point solutions, Matrikon Operational Insight uses standards-based technology to connect to all data sources. Coupled with a robust and configurable dashboard interface, data has never been easier to trend, chart, monitor, report, share and display.

  • Results can be used within any other Matrikon Operational Insight module or sent to any historian through its OPC server
  • It provides a powerful math library but allows the creation of custom functions and calculation

  • Extracts data from Matrikon Operational Insight ODBC data sources
  • Allows users to create SQL queries visually
  • Generates reports from the queries
  • Queries can be used in other modules (Chart, Trend, Draw)
Chart Module
  • Used to create 2 or 3 dimensional pie and bar charts
  • Allows visualization of process data
  • Can use tag-based data or SQL data using the Query Module
